The following are the rules of engagement (ROE) and ARA/DARC regulations. Let me start by stating that these rules are here for your safety. We all know the inherent dangers of playing airsoft, but the DARC facility adds more possibilities for injury due to the terrain and the extreme close quarter combat situations that will arise often. It is your responsibility to read these rules, know them and adhere to them.
No one under the age of 15 will be allowed to participate in this OP. If you are under the age of 18, you must have a parent or legal guardian present while you play. Everyone must sign a DARC waiver and an ARA waiver which will be provided on line by January 6, 2011 and we will have them available at the registration table the day of the event. They do not have to be notarized.
Pre registration is now open. The cost is $50 and can be paid at the following Pay Pal account address booneyrat20000@yahoo.com. Please note: Pay Pal charges a small percentage for the use of their services on each transaction. There is an option on Pay Pal for the sender to pay this fee and not the receiver. MAKE SURE YOU PAY THE FEE, otherwise your registration fee will be short and we will require full payment before you play. If you have any problems sending your registration fee please state your problem in the Operation Close Call: Questions and Answer thread. Pre registration will close on midnight of January 29, 2011. We will not except pre registration payment after this time. If you miss the pre registration deadline, you must pay at the registration table the day of the event and the fee is $60. All registration fees are non refundable. However, ARA will allow a credit towards our next Operation if you are unable to attend due to an emergency. You must provide a valid ID at check in to participate in the event. Be advised: due to the nature of this facility, no foreign nationals are allowed to participate.
Camping will be allowed on the DARC facility this year which is included in the registration fee. No camp fires.
FORCES:
US led Coalition Forces (Green)
Head wear must match the main color (Green) of your uniform. There is no restriction on vest or gear color as long as it is not black. Please note, depending on the total number of Coalition forces there will be teams of EOD's. EOD's will have plenty of opportunity to show their skills or allow their team to die.
Taliban (Black)
Must wear a black shirt. Pants can be black, tan or denim. No form of traditional camouflage can be worn by Taliban forces. Head wear can be anything that is non traditional camouflage.
If you are not sure about the above requirements, please post you question in the Operation Close Call: Questions and Answer thread.
Magazine Load outs:
We will allow two high caps and as many mid caps as you can carry. Bio bb's are encouraged, but not required.
FPS LIMITS:
Please note that all fps limits are using ARA chronos with .20 non bio bb's.
Regular Riffle man: 400fps, 20ft engagement minimum
Designated Marksman: 450fps, 50ft engagement minimum and no firing inside to inside of any structure.
Snipers: 500fps, 100ft engagement minimum and no firing inside to inside of any structure.
Support Weapons: 450fps, 50ft engagement minimum and no firing inside to inside of any structure. As always, support weapons must be made as an actual support weapon and not any form of regular riffle with a large capacity magazine.
Rocket Launchers: More than welcomed and no firing inside to inside of any structure. Please note, all rocket launchers must be pre approved by OP Close Call staff before they can be used.
Grenade Launchers: Approved, but no firing inside to inside of any structure.
Grenades: All grenades that expel bb's are approved. All grenades must be actual airsoft grenades and not a rock or any other thing that is not an airsoft grenade.
The use of distraction devices are approved as long as they do not use real pyrotechnics (example: Thunder B's). These devices are for distraction purposes only. No player can be killed by them.
If you encounter a situation where you happen upon an opposing force within ten feet, you can and are encouraged to use the “safety kill” method of killing an opponent. Knife kills are allowed. If this happens to you, please adhere to the rules and acknowledge the safety kill and put on your dead rag.
Each player must have sealed, ANSI approved goggles or an approved face mask. We will check! Please note: due to the nature of the extreme close quarter combat that will occur throughout the day (within 10ft), we strongly suggest wear some form of neck protection and/or face protection.
Each player must have a red dead rag. No other colors are acceptable and the dead rag must be large enough to be easily seen at 100ft. If you are killed, you must Yell out hit, hit, hit and immediately put your dead rag on your head. Do everything possible to let others know you have been hit.
No shields will be allowed.
If anyone has a real emergency, yell out PURPLE!, PURPLE!, PURPLE! This will be the word for a true emergency. Get word to an admin ASAP via the admin channel.
This is a game of Honor. So call your hits! If there is a problem with anyone not calling their hits, that person will be asked to leave the game and not asked allowed back to another ARA event. YES, IT'S THAT SERIOUS!
We will provide comm channels and maps of the AO to the perspective teams once the rosters have been established. If you wish to take on a leadership role (i.e. CO, XO or team leader) please PM Eagleone on the ARA forum.
This information may be revised or added to before the event. We will notify you if so.
