Idea We Have Been Tossing Around

So we have been tossing this idea around. We have been looking into find a large warehouse to play in. I talked to a friend of mine about renting a place here in town. After looking into place and prices, a cheap place will cost us around 2,000 for rent. Now, if we "pay to play" wiht 20 members, its 100 a month per person. Im just wondering if it would be worth it. Gimmie you thoughts.

I would love to have an indoor field, it would give us a change from woodland play and give us a place to play even if the weather sucks.

The only problem is getting the players willing to give $100 a month. I don't have a job so it would be difficult for me to get the $100 every month but I'd try.

well im in too, 100 bucks a month isnt bad at all, but we would have to pay that plus the "materials" to set up in it, because just a straight up OPEN feild is , well . . . . kinda paintballish in my eyes i have probly 30+ 2x4s behind my shop with other old boards etc etc that we have no use for so theres us some building materials but, i dont know just a thought to keep in mind i guess

30 2x4's could make a couple of 3 sided shacks if we can get some walls or we could also nail them to trees as well to make just some walls. 100$ a month isn't bad if you look at it 25 bucks a week but for those who can't do that can pay by the day type thing. so its like going to a course any where else really. im just happy we're finally getting a place to play that might be a sure thing.

=======UP DATE==========

ok, Pirate and I went to talk to the guy at JT Dive Shop. After a couple of hours of talking with him heres what the deal is. Monday Im goin to meet with him out at his Paintball field. According to him, its off of Stadium, about 3 miles. So its not much farther than what we were already driving, and still in Jonesboro.
Were going to have to move over to Bio-rounds, but for out door play and a steady course, im more than willing.

Its going to be a pay-to-play as far as I know. We havent locked down a price yet. But this is where the "leage-team-club-whatever" is going to come in. Makeing something like this with dues, and the dues will cover everyones p-t-p fees. Also left overs will be used for building supplies, on field food, water, extra ammo, renters guns, general supplies...ect..ect..

Building is going to be unlimited to whatever we want as far as I know. So this is where everyone comes in. How dedicated we are to getting something going. Any exxtras..2x4's, 4x4's, plywood, siteing, whatever we can get. Just remember, Its going to be representing us, NEAA, and JT Dive Shop, so dont just drag out whatever you can find. Were going to sit down and come up with barriers, small size buildings that are movable (4'x8'), and 2 permenant 2 story structures. Along with whatever else we can find.

A general standard of fules is going to be drawn up. And everyone will be held to it. Minors are going to be cut at 14-17. Adult 18+. Special cercumstances may be made. I will get with all the moderators and decide a plan of action. (i.e. 13 and below the parent has to play too).

I want everyone to know, what I am wanting to getgoing here is a groupe of players, simmers, whatever else, not a speed ball course (paintball). So for those of us that know what im talking about, I hope your smiling. As for everything else, Im working on props like, a password protected time bomb, an insertion vehicle (golf cart) and some other stuff for objective based games.

So, that being said, I really hope we can get this field going.

Not sure about when were having a meeting. Probly after I check out the field. I have a busy day tommorow. So After I choose a spot, Ill log on and post some pics and stuff. Maybe a meeting on Saturday.

He said theres at least an Acre we can have, that will be half and half. Half wooded, half open flat. So we can have a mix of stuff. I figured an acre will be plenty big for now. Maybe if it grows fast we can talk to him about extending.

Im going to try and meet with JT tommrow (teusday). The meeting didnt happen today. Pirate and I wen tout to the area today to check it out. I was...kinda not impressed. But were gonna wait untill we have a better chance to look it over and see what deals are going to be made.

We are also in the middle of just driving around, calling realty comp., and just flat in pulling in asking. Thats about the only update I have. Im hoping to have a game Sunday. Ill update as I can.

my main concern is the feild we are gonna be playing at going to be ligitiment, i dont want to spare 200 bucks of lumber and that guy back out on us or we get banned for somthing dumb, also is the pay to play going to be split between everyone or is it everyone for there selfs? i mean if we dont want to pay me and Bj have at least three feilds that will be up for any game we want without any moo moo grannys bothering us

If you guys have a "free" place to play at, then deffinatly talk to the people. But explain to them what were wanting to do as far as, building, having mre than 10 people (20+ or even 100 if it gets big enough). These are all things that we need to deal with depending on how big we get. This is all things that we need to discuss before we just jump into a place.

well me an my mom n dad have 13+ acrhes outside of Harrisburg city limits, but its wooded, feilds, and alittle swampy in some places it will be free, no one will bother us, AND the plus side is its ours so whatever we say goes
